How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home
Planning to buy a ring online but don't know your size? Don't worry! Measuring at home is actually very simple and highly accurate. Just follow the steps below alongside the video to find your perfect fit.
Step 1: Gather Your Tools
Before you start, make sure you have these three basic items on hand:
- String: A piece of thin, non-stretchy string.
- Pen: A fine-tip pen or marker for maximum accuracy.
- Ruler: A standard ruler with clear millimeter (mm) markings.
Step 2: Wrap and Mark
- Wrap the thin piece of string comfortably around the base of the finger you intend to wear the ring on.
- Hold the string flush against your skin (remember, precision is key for a good fit!).
- Using your pen, mark the exact point where the string overlaps for the first time.
Step 3: Measure the Distance
- Lay the marked string completely flat on your table. You will see two clear pen marks on the string.
- Carefully align the string against your ruler.
- Measure the exact distance between those two marks in millimeters.
- Take note of the exact number (for example, 54mm is a very common size). This number is your finger's total circumference.
Step 4: Find Your Size
- Finally, take your millimeter measurement and compare it to our standard ring size chart below to find your perfect match.
And just like that, you're ready to shop for your next favorite piece with complete confidence! Enjoy your new ring.
